Merrill & Associates Engineers a Technology Refresh
for the City of Costa Mesa

City wide communications upgrade
allowing greater flexibility and enhanced capability

BREA, CA – California based, Merrill & Associates, a service and integration leader in business communication systems and IT consulting, recently completed a much needed communications upgrade for the City of Costa Mesa.

The City of Costa Mesa selected Merrill & Associates to engineer an updated communications system in remote locations throughout the city.  The system extended to five fire stations, the community and recreation center, the maintenance and corp yard, and the police substation at South Coast Plaza.

“The key components of this system revolved around outdated and discontinued hardware, stated Mike Carter.”  Carter continued, “The entire upgrade gives the city enhanced features with their Speech Attendant and great use of their IP phones not compatible with their previous system.”

Merrill & Associates specializes in custom engineered communications systems.  The team of engineers, project managers and support staff worked closely with the City of Costa Mesa in order to deliver a system that adjusts to the ebb and flow of Costa Mesa’s communication needs.

In addition to the calling and messaging system, Merrill partnered with Veramark to update the city’s call accounting software.
